Meet ASHA!
The American Speech-Language Hearing Association or ASHA is a great resource for information regarding communication disorders.
We can help!
One of the many reasons for wellness visits to your child’s healthcare provider in the early years is to follow your child’s development. Milestones are like a checklist of physical skills and behaviors most children achieve as they age. Rolling over, crawling, walking, and talking are all considered milestones. Milestone typically follow a sequential order (e.g. crawling before walking) and are different for each age range. Milestones can help to identify typically developing children from those who may need a more detailed check-up. Talk to your child’s provider if you have concerns about your child’s development. Research has shown that the sooner the developmental services are started, the better the outcome.
